Umzumbe's Blue Flag Beach is a quiet, unspoilt, family beach with dense coastal vegetation and vibrant turquoise water. You'll get to enjoy the sheltered sandy beach without being overrun by too many tourists. Deserving of its Blue Flag status, it's a clean, safe beach with lifeguards on duty all year round. Kids are kept happy for hours playing in the tidal pool giving you a chance to soak up some rays and relax with a good book.
Umzumbe's Beach offers some of the best swimming, surfing, kite sailing, fishing and diving facilities on the South Coast. If you like to walk, the beach is a pleasure to walk North or South between the bordering rivers, as well as along the village streets.
Golfers have the choice of 11 golf courses within an 80km radius. Tennis players are always welcome at the nearby Tennis Club, and for the more daring; Surfing Lessons, Guided Surf Tours and Oribi Gorge Tours are available with a local tour operator.
